IRC (Internet Relay Chat) Help

For an explanation on what IRC is and how it works, view this Wikipedia page.
If you're looking for a good IRC client, check out this Wikipedia page.
If you'd rather not download a client, you can use our WebIRC.

It is recommended that you register your nickname once you are connected. This allows you to receive automatic channel privileges (if channel operators choose to give them), gives you protection against someone else using your nickname, and many more great reasons. To register your nickname (note: this will be your current nickname on IRC) type:
/ns register some-password-here This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Once you've done that you can request a vHost (virtual host) that will be automatically set every time you identify to your nickname. We provide a cloak on your host by default, a vHost will override that cloak and can be customized.

For all IRC related problems please contact us in #help or use our IRC Support forum.

Further information (on InspIRCd) can be found at their Wiki for available commands, user modes, and channel modes.
